On 25 March 2022 the Newcastle Mater Misericordiae Hospital, now known as Calvary Mater Newcastle celebrated 100 years of being the heart of the community of Newcastle. This special place will always be held close to my heart. Not only was I (and all of my family) born at the Mater, in December 2020 my darling Dad spent his last days here under the most beautiful care. The hearts interconnect to represent the many diverse layers of the community that come together at the Mater, always rotating, always moving forward.
